Living in France, I have become interested in why there is such an obesity epidemic in the US. This doc opens with a 12 year old, yes 12 YEAR OLD getting lipo. What I can tell, thus far, is that it is far more accepted to be fat in the US than it is here, because we are taking part in what has become something that makes America great… Consumerism. Around every turn we are tempted with yummy fatty salty sweet foods, and our genes are saying yes yes yes (because we were hunters and gatherers). In France, it seems that they only eat 3 meals with one snack of yogurt or fruit at 5. I am dedicated to getting off of the diet roller-coaster, so I have been doing research on therapists that deal with eating issues among other things. I found someone I can start going to when I move back to Denver (I live in France, now) that works to rebalance body chem… Her site advises that clients read “The Diet Cure,” by Julia Ross. Today, I read about the importance of Omega 3 and it’s connection to weight, so I decided to have some lean fish for lunch. The only issue about eating fish regularly is that the smell lingers in the kitchen. I am really hoping diligence to the HCG program will help me to continue to lose again. I have been eating more than what is allowed to make up for my increased toning, which is probably the issue. I just don’t want to be “skinny fat,” or lose weight but also lose my endurance. Today marks a new day to adhere to stricter HCG foods, and if I feel light-headed, I’ll choose a small serving of protein and veg or fruit in addition to the protocol.
